How to record and produce your own songs and projects is the challenge posed by Miguel Apolinario to all those interested in the Master Classe – Electric Guitar.
In this Master Class it will be discussed the role of the electric guitar, its history and the way it has influenced the music over the decades. It will be presented different timbres and the importance and understanding of effects, amplifiers and other features to create a characteristic sound.
A general concept about accompaniment and improvisation (jam session with students) will also be transmitted, as well the notions about studio recording and different techniques to record your own songs.
Miguel Apolinário, born in Funchal, is a guitarist, composer and music producer. Since 1996, he has been part of several musical projects, which include covers and originals, passing through all musical genres and styles.
As an instrumentalist and producer, he had several forays abroad, such as England, Germany, the United States, Finland and Holland. He also worked with producers and studios such as Graham Dominy (UK), NPG Productions (California), Embassy studios (UK), Livingston Studios (UK), Luís Jardim, among others. He currently teaches guitar at the GIG School of Arts and is a music producer at the studios of the same institution.
